V2 300 Compacted Skimmer

Hi,

I'm new to this form thing and was after some help???

I have had the V2 300 compacted skimmer with surface skimming atacment for a while now, at first it was great took all the crap out of the water, i had no micro bubbles in the water as ive read on other forms or any problems like that. The problem i have at the moment is the ajustment on the out take pipe for the bubble level, when its working the skimming fab, then with in a hour or so it needs adjusting again?!? I'm have to play around with it all the time so it works correctly,the collection cup has a very little amount of gunk in it as it not skimming properly for long pirods of time. When i remove the ajustment cap compleatly the bubble level i spot on and so the flow of water, so i left this off one night, (bet you know what happens next) next morning there water all over the floor, luckly not to much because of the surface atachment. Basicly i cant get it working properly the level bubble/water keeps changing any ideas whats going on like i said it was fine for ages???

they take time to bed in so it will need tweaking over a day or two. skimmers are effected by tank water level too so if its hung on teh back make sure the water level in the tank is pretty constant

Hi,

Thats must be the problem, the top open and i leave it till the water levels about a inch low befor i top it up.
