Hello all,

I have a 260 gallon tank and I got two fx's running it, I want to buy 2 uv filters, one for each filter but have no idea which ones to get, The ones I am look at, at the moment are the vecton 600 UV STERILISER, do people think these are ok to run on the tank?

well I have thought of getting UV to help my water become clear, help prevent disease, parasites etc.

2 uv's because I have two filters so one on each, but If I could get away with one then one I would use.

though there are many opinions. theses, seem best as a treatment, not as a prophylactic. they kill good bugs too.

whlie they won't 100 prevent diseases i fail to see how they won't act equally well as a preventative measure as they will as a treatment.

I use TMC u/v's on two of my tanks and wouldn't be without them, increased oxygen content (albeit a marginal increase) and clearer water are the main reasons I use them.

because they remove more than just "bad" things from the tank. and "clear" water is, not always good for fish. though it looks good to us!

but, each to their own.:S
