UVB, is it harmful to fish?

Well that's my question are UVB rays harmful to fish for extended periods of time? (ie a reptile bulb over fish).
 
not at all.

it won't give off a very good light though.

a reptile bulb is designed to mimic sunlight as the glass on windows and viv's filter out the useful UV rays to them.
 
There are fish outside in the ocean and in lakes, so I can't imagine it would hurt them hehe.
 
water is good at filtering and reflecting UV, thats why there was no life on land before plants put up the ozone layer, too much is a bad thing but I doubt you will get the much. Just be careful for yourself because water really does reflect alot of UV, ever been out on a boat with no sun screen evewn up here in AK you get a tan really fast by the water.
