Uv Filter?

Hi i was thinking about getting a uv filter to make my tank water as clear as crystal......i believe the saying is cyrstal clear . What you think, any bad effects to fish, plants, water stats?

i remain unconvinced on using UV all the time. but as a backup or a solution to excessive algae growth, they really do seem to work. not sure if they will give you crystal clear water though, as the bits that tend to make your aquaria murky, are usually dealt with by your tank filter.
