You might try adding another male to the mix. Maybe put a male in the chimney for awhile, or in a container outside the spawn tank. Might make him go to nesting. Sometimes I put one in a beanie outside the tank. It work well, and the nesting male really starts showing off.
				
			
	            
		
			
   

 He was guilty before proven innocent because after he came out I noticed the eggs ARE still there. I thought most were gone
