Using Pond Dechlor In Aquariums

Have seen this mentioned on here a few times. Just did a quick compare on ebay and it was approx. 12 times more expensive for the aquarium stuff, per litre
(£6.61 for enough pond stuff to treat 5000l compared to £7.74 for enough aquarium stuff to treat 500l. Both tetra brand)
So, is it that simple? Substitute pond stuff for aquarium stuff? Any brand?
Does it still work instantly?

You will find most people here use pond dechlor over aquarium stuff, after all it is the same thing just at a stronger dose.

I always use Tetra Aquasafe for ponds (which i assume you are referring to) in my tank with no ill effects,

i use pond dechlorinator in all my tanks! and i have some pretty sensitive fish.
its just a more concentrated mixture. just don't over do it! its strong stuff!
