Can I use Ammo-Lock to make the water safe for my fish while i treat them?
They have nasty columnaris and I am treating with an anti-bacterial medicine right now.

It seems to be working athough I just strated it yesterday, it is too soon to see for sure.

Now since my bacteria are dying from the treatment, can I use ammo-lock while I'm treating and hope there is enough bacteria left in the filter when i take out the meds to cycle it up again?

Otherwise, I'll use media from other tanks to kick start the cycle. I probably have enough media all in all to fill up my filter...

stupid diseases.... makes life complicated!

Use and ammonia media in your filter and add some Cycle to your tank. In some cases it is recommended to add benificial bacteria while medicating because the meds kill the bacteria as well as the disease.

If all else fails do a 20% water change AND add the cycle to replentish the bacteria levels.

Once you have finnished medicating that's when you add the cycle product to kick start the bacteria again, not sure of the product ammo-lock, does it say in the instructions if you can use with meds.

The leaflet that comes with the Cycle says that it can be used at the same time as the meds so as to stablize the levels of bacteria.

that's ok then use it, good luck.
