Using a Pond Filter with aquariums?

Has any one done this .....I got 2 tanks and would like to run a filter system for both tanks though a pond filter box and pump......anyone any thoughts on this???....thanks

It would work I think. You just gotta make sure your flow isnt too fast for the fish you keep. With a little thought that would be pretty awesome! I'm using an old pond filter to set up a waterfall. Keep us posted!
