Urgent Xp2 Filter Help Needed

My rena xp2 filter (external) we not sphion the water into it!!!! help.

Give it a clean and check the impellor.

i already clean it. putting back and getting to start again.

Have you made sure that all the baskets fit properly?
When you close the lever at the top, what happens? Does any water at all enter the filter? Assuming the filter is empty?

No, but I left the lever up and put the water in the priming tube. put the lever down and it fills up the filter. When i go to plug it in, no water comes out of the outlet pipe??

Have you tried to gently rock the filter forwards and backwards? (with the lever down!)

There might just be some air trapped.

didn't work. filter making noises but just a little dribble coming out.

OK - I suggest empty everything (the filter and pipes) and start from scratch. Do you still have your card that came with the filter that tells you how to prime for the first time?

If not:
- fill water using the funnel through the top filter is full and then until the water starts pushing all the way up into the inlet
- Screw back inlet cap
- Press the handle down and wait approx 2 minutes (until filter is full with water)
- plug in and switch on

yeah. i clean all the pipes on sunday.

I try again though.

I cant clean the big clear pipes which take water to the tank.
