Urgent - What Kind Of Fish Are These?

Hi there

My son and I went to the local drain and caught these fish. They sort of look like guppies, but some of them are quite striking. Some of them have a bit of red on their behind, and a black spot on their tummies. I would love to know what kind of fish they are, and if it is OK to add them to my pond and a couple of really pretty ones to my tank. Sorry for the bad photography, but it's hard to take a good photo of fish with an Iphone. Thanks in advance. Jennifer.

pretty sure they are guppys.
well if you got them from outside they should be fine in the pond.
they are fine in a tank.

Here's a couple more photos. Looking at them, they look alot like my platys, but I didn't think that platys were wild here in Australia? Any suggestions, anyone?

Thanks everyone. Yep, definitely guppies. I am quite excited, as guppies cost around $4.00 - $7.00 in pet shops. Some of the male ones are quite pretty. I picked out 3 of the prettiest males, a couple of females and put them in the tank. They seem to be settling in nicely. The rest I put in my outside pond with my platys. They seem to be going fine too. Thanks again, Jennifer.

Guppies indeed. They are quite common where I live as well. Though they aren't quite as colorful as the ones at the store. The wild ones here are all very drab.
