can i add Melafix to my tank with a betta in there

I've used Melafix before, and had no problems with it...
I just use it in half doses, and do water changes more regularly. :)

i used half dose and diluted it..Betta seems ok today.
what are the symptoms if it damages the labyrinth organ?

Hayz, did you ever look at that link that I posted on one of your other threads? It showed what you would need to do. You need to dilute the melafix down. Melafix is safe is diluted because it essentially lowers the dose to that of Bettafix, which is safe for bettas.

Bear in mind that no medication is entirely safe. Tylenol is good for fevers, but in large doses will kill your liver.

yes i did read it....and i diluted to 1-4 drop ratio that was stated...but my mathmatics are somewhat ...welll non existant..and it was midnight when i dosed. So i aired on the side of caution and only added 5ml.
If someone would like to work out exact dose...feel free...

its a 66L tank with about an inch of sand substrate driftwood and slate rocks. Filter is a Fluval U2. (as seen in avatar) :good:
