HI,

I bot 1st fish tank on saturday.
2 black mollies, 2 orange mollies, 2 guppies..
i guess only one black molly is male, rest of the 5 fishes are females.

1 guppy died, on sunday morn, it was prob sick, coz it was swimmin very slowly, and small size. its stomach was slightly fat wen it died.

1 black molly, which i was told is pregnent by d shopkeeper, stands in same place most of the time.
i tink the female molly is prob sick and not preggy.. it eats a lot

others are active in the morning, but in th evening "all" of them stand in their own places for more than 15 mins seperatly, wen comapred to how they were in mornings, they are slow.. they changing their behaviour often.

each of the orange mollies stand in diff corners of the tank in the evening

pls advice on all of the above

pls advice.

HI,

my female molly was not sick, it delivered baby fishes and nearly 25 to 30 are alive. I am not sure if ther wer more coz i dont know wen it delivered.

I bot another guppy, to replace the guppy that died.

Now, this is active but the other guppy died. it behaved very wierd... it stood straight, perpendicular to surface and tending to fall back, suddenly it jumped and started swimming normal. this was repeatedly happ and finally it died. Y tis sort of behavior???

should the filter in fish tank always be switched on??

i feel mollies are easier to handle than guppies... true???

Hi and welcome to the forum.

How long was the tank setup before you added fish?

Do you know what the ammonia/nitrite/nitrate cyle is?

Basically we need more info to help.

OK i suggest you read up on fish-in cycling, go to the beginners resource centre in the new to hobby section and click on fish-in cycling.

If you have any more questions feel free to ask, theres plenty of advice on here for you, i would have been lost if i'd never found this site.

Another quicky, are/have you used dechlorinator with your tap water? - in case you don't know it cleans out the chlorine and other nasties from the water.

Did you put your fish in the new tank stright away?

If you could give more detail there are loads of informed people on here who will try to help.

Paul.
