which tank and what fish, how long have they had ich, what meds have you tried?

15 gal,angel,both S. petricola,1 skunk loach.killed-otto,hatchet and 1 skunk loach.about 1 week.used old cheap walmart ichaway but now have a genaric ich control with malachite green.

Have you had the temperature at 84f in that time and you have to keep the overhead light off during malachite green treatment.
Make sure theres lots of air getting in the tank and when doing water changes use a gravel vac.
Where on the fish are the ich spots?

fins and bodies.they are still 3D against them.temp is at 76 F

i have an extra air pump i was gunna put on my 20.should i hook it up for my 15?(15 = no air pump)

You keep the light off as long as you are using the meds.
Take the temperature slowly up to 84f.

SLOWLY...temp up slowly. Did you remove your carbon? If not, pull it. Add aquarium salt. Post back. SH

The light yes, the filter no. Turning the filter off will only add to your troubles.
