Hi everyone does anyone know why my angelfish would be at the botton of the tank bearly even trying to swim, the current keeps pushing him backwards or onto his side, his breathing has got a little faster and he's also not been eatting much either the past few days???????

I have checked the water and everything is fine, i have just installed a large air curtain along the back of the tank a couple of days ago and it is a quite well planted tank, so i have no idea what could be wrong with him, i have segregated from the rest of the fish at the moment in a floating breeding tank.

Any help would be great thanks x

Are there any marks on the Angel? How long have you had him for? Any signs of disease? Did the problem start before or after the air curtain?

Those Clown Loaches don't have a place in a tank that size given that they grow to 12", also they are schooling, as are most loaches.

You will have to turn the current down.

Does he try to get off the botton of the tank only to fall back down again.
Does he look bloated or skinny.
Does he look pale or darker in colour.
What does it look like when he goes to the toilet.
is his anus enlarged or red and inflamed.

It's sounding like a bacterial infection at the moment.

how many angel fish do you
have only the one and or
do you have any other cichlids
in the same tank
