does anyone else experience their JD swiming upside down? I have caught mine (male 4months old) swimming on his back a few time in the past month. He usually does this around dinner time. Not sure if this is typical or i just have a one in a million JD. He is normally very aggresive and actually comes to the glass to see you around dinner. But lately it is as if he is doing tricks to get his food. Common or unusual?

does he do it alot or is it just quick...both my oscars swim to one end of the tank then down to bottom on there back past the plastic plant the back to upright posistion...its so funny :shifty:

my old male JD used to do the same thing he would swim in complete circles from the bottom of the tank up to the top flip over and then swim back down to the bottom of the tank.

If he is doing just quick turns when swimming, nothing to worry about. But if it seems he can't control it, like he stops and he starts to flip over without swimming, he might have some swim bladder problems, but thats prob worrying too much on my part, just giving you a heads up if you notice him spending more and more time upside down
