we walked into petsmart for some dog food i looked at the fish and thought it was dead but then i saw it move and then i instantly knew it was a upside down butterfly fish

Oddly enough I saw the very same fish in my LFS as "butterfly fish" yesterday.
Don't they look fab?
Unfortunately I don't think they are compatible with my "peaceful" community as the LFS had them marked as Amber (they use a traffic light system, green being good community fish, amber - with caution and red - not good community fish or difficult to care for)

Just a Guess but were these at A5.
Agree they are Amazing Fish and when I had them in the Big tank, I could watch them really Leap really far across the surface of the water.

they are ok in communities as long as there isn't anything that would fit into their mouth's, so at least a couple of inch's. they prefer food such as wingless fruit flies ans small crickets as they naturally feed on insects either on or just above the surface of the water, i liked keeping these fish, very intresting.

Gill - No, not at A5 (what/where is that?), but at Shirley Aquatics.
Dave - tempted as I may be, most of my fish are little fish - endlers, pgymy corys, shrimp, neons - so I think they might become lunch pretty quick LOL - maybe if I had a community of bigger fish...
