Upside Down Angel Fish

Hello Guys.

One of my angel fish has been acting rather strangley over the past several weeks. It like to hover near the top of the tank, amongst my amazon swords, upside down!!! It will chill there for 20 - 30mins, turn itself the right way round, go for a wonder and then end up back to where it started, upside down.

BUt as soon as i put pour food into the tanks, it turns the right way round, dives down and eats frantatically, after a number of minutes, it would be back amongst the plants and back to its normal routine.

At first i thought it was a swim bladder issue, so I put it in a nursing tank, didnt feed it for a number of days and then fed it peas. after a fews days of this treatmet, it looked ok. But when I put it back into the main tank, back to the old routine.

Any ideas what could be causing this.

I would say swim bladder also. Few weeks ago i had an angel who did something similar. He went through a phase of about a week or so where he would stay in the same palce in the tank but slowly rotate a complete 360 backflip, and would do this a few times a day. I kept on top of water changes and did 10% daily, added an air stone and left him to it. He's fine now, hasnt done it for a while. Its strange and i don't know what causes it, but you could try what i did and see if he changes.
