Good day,

I have deceide to upgrade my Compact Corallife Lights to MH ones.
I have 28 Gal, 24' tank. I want to start adding some corals that reqiores MH light.

I found 150W and 250W made by corallife. I wanted to go with 150W but I want to make sure that
it will be enough for Clams, SPS corals?

What would be an advice?

Thank you very much for all your help.

well with clams and sps, 250 would be better (more growth) but 150 should keep them alive (as long as their very close to the light), but it would be much safer to go with the 250. I have problems keeping clams and certain sps under my 150 watt....

Thank you, I would probably go with 250W but what about heat?
I have setup 2 fans already but they are not active yet.

I keep 80F. Will 250W heat the water a lot?

IME the difference in heat between a 250 and a 150 in an open-topped setting is not very big.

When you say you keep 80F do you mean that's with your tank, or the room it's in?

Yes in my tank.

I also found corallife MH lights with the Fans to remove the heat, do u think it will help?
