I've got a Juwel Vision 180 and I'm just running the standard filter. Last night whilst doing my weekly water change I had a bit of a diaster when I was rinsing the sponges out the filter. The full filter/heater casing came away from the side of the tank. We managed to do a temporary fix (using some kebab skewers
) However this morning we got up to find one of my little Honey Gourami had managed to get stuck down the side of the filter casing, between the casing and the glass
Decided I'd have to get a new filter so went out and bought an Aqua One CF1200 external filter. Now this is all up and running and I've kept my internal filter running but managed to secure it slightly better. However I've been reading and see that it may be possible for me to put the media out my old filter into the new one so I can take the old one out straight away. What do you all think of this?
I've also got a sick Spotted Climbing Perch but not sure whether he's possibly been damaged from when the filter casing fell or whether its been caused by stress of all the changes in the tank.
