Upgrading Aquarium

Infact I don't think I'm even thinking large enough. Cause you could probably go as far as getting and oscar or a severum and then planning the rest of the tank around them.
On top of the Rainbow Shark which is there already? Plus, I'm assuming this is alongside 6 Synodontis Catfish?

EDIT: Ah yes, I see that bit now about 10 Loaches or whatever I want. I've had Loach ideas shot down already because "oooh every single one of them will get to full size and require 600l tanks" -.-

I've written up a draft fish roster, would this be a peaceful community with a large margin for additional fish if and when I want?

Rainbow shark, 8 synodontis upside-down catfish, 2 gold/bolivian rams, 3 opaline gouramis (1m,2f), 2 dwarf cichlids, 20 tetra, pleco

Oops forgot about them, well with the previous list they'd be fine. But yeah I don't think mixing an oscar with the catfish is a good idea. Not sure about the sev though, that may be ok with the fish you already have.

Edit: There are more than just clown loaches you know...

Such as zebra and yoyo loaches. Each grow to around 10cm n they were just the first ones that sprung to mind.

Hmm

3 Opaline Gouramis
20 Tetras - Sounds good, don't rule out rasboras, barbs and smaller rainbows though
2 Dwarf Cichlids
8 upside down cats
2 Gold/bolivian rams - Personally I would suggest bolivians as gold rams require a temp between 28C-31C to be kept at their best. Below this can be risky.
Pleco

Overall obviously it'll depend which dwarf cichlids and pleco you pick, but it definitely sounds like a good start :)
