Here's an updated pic of a little guy I brought home back in February. He was so small and living in a dirty little cup. Now he is a big boy in a much nicer home!

It's a mixture of pool filter sand and black tahitian moon sand. I had some of each left over from other tanks so I mixed it together to see what it would look like!

ha.. i was about to say "pool filter sand? is that safe?" then i realized that clearly it was or your plants wouldn't look like that and the fish would be dead.

Oh my, he's gorgeous!!!! The veil tails here in my area aren't as pretty (don't let my beta hear that though ). I had no idea you have a beta too

Yes, I couldn't resist! He's such a neat little fish. His tank is always happy -- no algae issues, no cloudy water, and he always wiggles when I approach the tank!

And oh yeh, he's mostly blue -- kind of a slate/periwinkle color. Plus he has peach colors near and on his head.
