Thats a disaster waiting to happen as it is. If you really want the slate etc balanced as it is, id really suggest using some silicon to secure them in place. The last thing you want is for something to happen and the slate slide into the glass.

If you secure the slates etc itll be great :D

I know, I've got a bit more work to do on it in terms of set up, but so far any of the rocks that could hit the glass already are touching the glass in some fashion so they can't build up any momentum :p It's actually surprisingly secure :S

what sort of cichlids are you planning on putting in there?

Looking good. Are you going to be adding any plants? as i think it would look stunning with some plants at the back and hiding the inlet pipe

Zoe
I'm considering it as I'm also adding a small internal next to the heater. Probably a bunch of thin val. or possibly some varigated rush but I'm not sure how well they'll go in the water, it's quite hard.

Right now (although most aren't in the picture) I have 9 juvie Jacobfriebergi Peacocks, most of which I'll be selling to a friend when they get a bit bigger, 1 juvenile Flameback who'll be the main feature when he grows up :D and I literally just added a small whiptail plec to help out with the algae, got him for free :p

Not sure about what else, maybe a firemouth in the future, maybe kribs or something else small.
