I added some large black river stones. Most of them are half-way burried in the sand now as my sailfin plec loves to bury them for some reason.  I also added new decorations and some new plants but someone stole my batteries from my digital camera so I can't take anymore pictures until I can get some batteries. :grr:

He's getting quite a belly on him. Is this normal? :dunno:

Excuse the clutter on top of my 120 gallon. I have no dresser space since I have 9 fish tanks in my room. So I often use my 120 gallon to stack my stuff on. :p

Lovely fish you've got ... and nice tanks too!

About the dwarf puffer, is it like that all the time, or only after feeding? If it's simply a couple of hours after feeding, then it's absolutely nothing to worry about. If it's 24/7, I'd keep a close eye on it. My puffers are super active, and specially my female seems to never keep a belly on her and is uber skinny again within 2 hours after feeding.

SirMinions puffers however, seem to have a nice healthy belly on them at all times.

So I guess it might depend on the puffer as well. Keep an eye on it, and wait for someone else to come up with a better answer ;)

Staring to look like my room, well exempt I have blue instead of pink and about 3 more tanks :p

Aw thanks hehe. Well his belly usually fills up nicely after feeding time, but he's always a little on the pudgy side. Is there such a thing as overfeeding with a puffer? I feed him frozen food everyday. :dunno:

Yes, there is ;) It couldnt hurt to have a couple of none feeding days. I usually skip wednesday and saturday on my puffers. However, there's absolutely nothing to worry about if he/she is only that big after feeding. I'm quite sure it's just a normal happy and well fed puffer :)

They sure are smart little things aren't they? I can't believe how well he is eating from my medicine dropper now. :hyper: Before, he was so thin and wouldn't touch anything I would give to him. Now he is "hunting" any frozen food I put into is tank. I think the air stone helps out a bit and makes his food move so he thinks it is alive. :D

I upgraded him from his 2.5 gallon tank to a filtered 8 gallon hex. It has a few ghost shrimp in it, but most of them are double his size.

Everytime I stick my head near the tank, he comes out of hiding and shoots right to the tank window to look back at me. :p

I skipped feeding him 2 days ago and fed him yesterday and he really ate everything I gave him! Hope he likes it in his new 8 gallon tank. There isn't many decorations in it as it was used just for a betta and some shrimp before. It only has like 3 plants and a small cave. Is this okay for him?

You have a fantastic looking tank. I was going to post some pictures of my tank but have decided against it :/ Firstly, because I only have a camera on my phone so they haven't come out that good and secondly because compared with all the pictures I've seen my tank looks rubbish!!!

Never mind, I'll keep working on it, and hopefully my tank will look as fantastic as yours! :D

I'm glad you like my tank. Most of it is decorated by second-hand garage sale items haha. My mom always finds aquarium stuff at garage sales or thrift stores and buys every single piece they have!

It looks better now as I have lots more plants and decorations in there. I'll try to take some updated pics today.

I want to see your tank!

I do think that will be plenty for him :) The heavily planted tanks are mostly for when you've got more than 1 dp. This will give them more chances of getting away from the other quickly. When you only have 1 dwarf puffer, it shouldnt matter much :)

If he does mind, you'll notice. He'll lose some colours or start hiding at all times ... I think he's doing great in there though! :)

Not sure how long the ghost shrimp will last, just dont get too attached to them ;) Puffers do often manage to kill shrimp at least twice their size!! Other dwarfs however, actually get along with them *shrug* ... tank mates or food? Who knows!

Well most of my shrimp in there are carrying eggs, but the eggs are brown. I thought they were supposed to be pink? Does this mean they're dead? :dunno:

My DP hasn't lost any coloring and he seems pretty happy. He comes to the front of the tank no matter where he is when I get close to his tank. He almost looks like he is smiling most of the time. :p I'm getting really attached to him. He's so fun to watch. He usually just swims up to the ghost shrimp and then the shrimp will check him out in return and the DP will get scared and swim away haha. But the shrimp are only 10 cents each so if he manages to eat one, I won't be too sad. :p
