After about 5 weeks in the Native Tank. The two sunfish that I rescued from the dried up creek behind my house are doing well, happily eating guppy fry, and various bugs/worms.

The good news is some water has begun to flow in the creek and so I beleive in another few weeks water will be restored for the fall/winter.

Thus they will be released back into their home carefully of course. I plan to do a long 2 hour acclimated re-intro into the creek.

I myself dont beleive in keeping wild fish but this was an exception...

I also will be posting pics of their acclimation/release...

For now you can see an older pic of their tank by clicking on the link in my signature.

Aaw I'm glad to hear they're going home. :) Good on you for caring for them! Does the creek dry up anually or was this just a once off?

Usually the creek lowers its water level due to drought but it usually keeps about 2 feet of water...this summer there was no water at all but puddles...its strange they stayed in the same spot instead of going downstream..
