Click the windows to activate it, then refresh the page, maybe that will sort it ;)

Link should be working now, built a new page. think the vid was using the wrong codec, anyways should be fixed lol

it works now

your labs are nice, are you happy with them?

As for the shy one, could well be stress still, i've known fish to take weeks to truly settle down.

In theory it could be "holding" too, although my female Malawi who are "holding" always swim out in the open, not all the time, but they certainly dont sit behind the rocks all day, but i wouldnt know whats "normal" in terms of holding, not experienced enough.

I would not worry too much about it, not feeding wont be an issue for a good few more days, dont make the mistake of trying to put extra food in the tank for it, i personally wouldnt anyway.

I would just watch and try and see if the others are bullying it

I would put my money on stress and just settling down. Its not like its disappeared, it just looks like it's "taking it all in" sitting there!

Its not been bullied i dont think, its the biggest one and when it was out the first couple of days, it was always with one of the others (thought they was in love lol)

Last 2 days its been like this.. i am not experienced in this type of fish, i dont even know what they do when mating, do they do a dance or anything? lol

usually the male will "shake" in front of the female, but this isnt 100% required lol, i know it doesnt get me anywhere with the girls!

Female lays eggs, male fertilises, female puts eggs in mouth, keeps eggs in mouth, spits out fry once they are ready to "free swim", you tube has some good videos of spawning Malawi's

Ahh just seen some vids, i know what to look for now, pretty cool.

hi mate, could be holding, I think I posted in another thread, another way to tell is to look at their mouth and now and again you should see them tummbling the eggs, its hard to explai what it looks like lol, only way I can describe it is if you close your mouth and just move you jaw up and down keeping your lips closed lol.

thats such a lame explanatiopn lol,

also when my estherae was holding you hardly saw her, she always hid up behind the filter. I think it depends on the individual fish, as when my greshaki was holding you always saw her about the tank.

Just my thoughts though, your lab might not be, I couldn't see the video very clearly.

My holding females tend to be a bit more reclusive as well. I've always thought they look like they are chewing gum when tumbling the eggs. Here are a couple of pics of a holding l.caeruleus for comparison to yours.
