thanks guys. i'm having a bit of an algae problem now, and my better half think the scaping is too messy so in a couple of weeks i'll be redoing the scaping almost entirely.

That's too bad to hear, I really like the tank and don't think it looks messy at all! It has a very natural layout in my opinion and the rainbowfish are beautiful.

not pressurized, that's my last equipment to purchase. for now i've been running 2x DIY bottles hooked up to my canister filter.

"brown" or diatomic algae...which i've already read about and found the causes to and tried fixing. so now we wait to see if it'll start to go away.
