tommorow I expect to receive the tank that has been offered to me for a few months but the owner hasn't cleared out around which they have now done... it looks quite long, high but quite narrow in width, Im guessing 20-40 gallons.

On a side story I went out on a outing today for my sisters birthday and was able to visit a new aquarium....I drooled as I entered to see their display tank of 1 Tandan Catfish and two Water Moniters on huge pieces of wood above the water level...and in the other display tank a Saragota Jardini named Fang... I went from there with a Elephant which had just gotten in store 3 hours prior and was delibrately ordered by the manager to annoy a employee who wants one severely but wasn't going to let him buy it... to bad he never saw it as I snapped it up ( $37.50 incidently...cheap for my area and he looks VERY healthy) and I bought my 4th and FINAL spiny eel after my other three have died to 1: power outage 2: MFD 3: Houdini escape...

So I will post pics and measurements of my new tank tommorow and present questions as to what filtration heater and fish I can accomodate :D

Cheers

Sounds like you enjoyed your sisters birthday!! Good luck with the new tank and look forward to seeing pics of it set up and maybe some of your new fish?

Ok got the new tank it's smaller than I thought However it's still good to have :) the dimensions

32 long 8 wide 15 high or around 16-20 gallons as they aren't precise 32 inches it's kinda half way 32-33.

What sort of filtration and heater would I be looking for with this size tank and any idea's what to place in it.

I have a 300 litre per hour hang on filter on my 75 gallon which can be used in it and it has a undergravel filter but with no air hose. With the tank being so narrow it's difficult with what to put in it... I was thinking perhaps Shell dwellers but I doubt I'll go that way as shellies are hard to get and expensive in my area....

Ok bought a heater for it today 100 watt Aqua One heater for $34. Hang on filter 300 litre's per hour cycled in my 75 gallon plus I added a sponge in my 32 internal filter into the hang on to be safe... I then added my 6 harliquin rasbora's as a test to make sure the tank is going to either be cycled and to make sure the filter is cycled...
