suppose to be a livebearer but depends what mood its in, will breed with anything that stands still long enough and eats anything and everything its given, got poor eye sight and goes bald with age. best suited to a 20000Litre tank but will survive in a 20Litre with no gravel, no filter just the occasional water change thats 50% alcohol

Careful he might eat the neons! lol You should make 20000 Litre 20000 Gallon! I really like your neons! And the one with thblack and orange..forget its name......is it a cory or a loach?

clown loach has the most amazing character but can be stroppy when comes to feeding, got him/her cos had a bad bad bad problem with snails he/she aint the lot

How many do you have? Just one? How big do they get too? My beconsidering one for my tank.

just the one, they can grow to 7" but known to be bigger in large tanks, easy to keep but sensitive when it comes to treating tank with any meds]. have a strange clicking noise that can be heard when happy (usually when feeding) bottom dweller, eats anything. they tend to roll around and look like their having a fit the older they get but it natural, heard thats why they are called clowns

when i got it i was told it was an armoured catfish but after several google searches i am really starting to doubt it
if anyone knows what it is then its ID will be welcome

It's the Hoplo, Megalechis Thoracata. I only know the latin name because I got one too!!
