Ok so after the previous wks of searching the net and asking you guys for advice about what external filter to get for my 55 gal, home to 4 red belly piranha, i finally made the decision to get an all pond solutions EF2000.
A lot of people said it wouldn't be any good for piranhas as they are messy eaters etc....
Iv had the filter for around 4 wks now (not quite sure) and i must say, its amazingly good. Much to the point of exceeding my expectations. I only paid around £60 and that was brand new and delivered which was next day
It's more than capable of handling the mess from piranhas (who are very messy at times lol), its whisper quite, so quick and simple to clean. Initial setup was very easy (even for me and this is my 1st external), im now doing weekly 20 - 30% water changes, sometimes 10 day and the water is still crystal clear with no mess at all at the end of the wk before the change.
I would definitely recommend these filters to anyone looking to get an external. It blew me away with how it performs and general all round value is 2nd to none.
