Unwell kissing gourami

Hello, my pink kissing gourami has turned quite white and his lips have stopped puckering so I think he might be dead, he is in a breeding tank and I have put some food in there but he hasn’t moved. Is he definitely dead as he hasn’t turned upside down?

I'm sorry for your fish!! Remove the food, if he's alive, he's too sick to eat. Do his gills move at all? If not, try to catch him with a net, if he doesn't move/ try to escape, then he's dead....
