Does your LFS not stock Sera's Flagellol or eSHa's Hexamita? That is very unusual, it may be worth keeping these medications at home *just in case*. Another option would have been to see if anyone at your local club had some left over from a previous treatment.

Another of the juvi's is now infected (started rapid breathing yesterday and have just seen the white stringy faeces).

Have ordered some eSHa Hexamita. Hope it gets here in time for this one, but probably need it anyway to treat the remaining angels in the tank.

eSHa Hexamita arrived today, will begin treating this evening.

the one showing symptoms was still eating this morning so hopefully it has arrived in time to save him/her.

cheers. Just added the first treatment.....turned the water a nice hue of green.

Got the infected angel to eat after the treatment as well, so hopefully some got into the gut of the fish.

Maybe investigate pre-soaking the food in some medication or medication-water mix? Be careful, some medications in high concentrations can be harmful to fish!

I placed one drop (36 drops to dose the tank) onto two cubes of unfrozen food and mixed it. Then dosed the tank and fed at the same time.

The one with symptoms is looking perkier but still has the white faeces

Lacing the food appears to have done the job. Symptoms have vanished. Will keep a close eye but it looks promising.

Glad to report it is in apparently perfect health. Think lacing the food was key. Did not have to run a second course of the treatment.

Sweet, another one to add to the old memory bank. This is such a common problem with cichlids, especially discus & angels.
