I have a pair of ocular albino golden sailfin Mollies that have produced beautiful offspring. Usually the male is constantly badgering the female for romance. The female is pregnant again and the male was annoying her all day long. So I placed the female in another tank with 10 Glowlight tetras. That was three weeks ago. She still hasn’t given birth. I guess I overestimated her gestation period. Today she was climbing the glass and looked stressed. So I placed the male in her tank. The reunion was amazing. They were kissing and being gentle with each other. I was concerned that the male would begin to hound the female for mating. But the opposite has occurred. The female is chasing the male all around the tank. This has been happening for around thirty minutes. This has never happened before with the pair. Any thoughts?

Probably not of any use but I call it awesome. By any chance, if you keep close records, is the male the same fish as the father?

In its own way the male may be trying to support and the female is like you did this to me don't even think about it.. ;)

Yes. The male is the father.

First of all, the gestation period of a molly is between 6-8 weeks. If the female doesn't want to mate and the male is irritating her, she'll chase him away. Quite normal behavior. A lot of people think that males can wear out those females by chasing them. But the other way around happens as well.
