Hello,
Last week I bought a 160 litre tank and filled it with water and new gravel. I added some de-chlorinator and some media from my old small tank - some gravel, some rocks covered in algae and some plants.. also covered in algae. 1 day after that I added my hardend zebra danios (2 of them) and they've been swimming around quite happily.
It's now been a week since first setting it up and I've just taken the following water readings:
Nitrate: 30 mg/l
Nitrite: 0 mg/l
KH: 20 d
GH: 21 d
pH: 8.4
The guides on this forum say I should "Inject carbon dioxide (CO), perform water changes with RO (Reverse Osmosis) water" so I'll probably do that. Based on these readings, can anyone guess at where my tank is in the cycling process? I know I should have been taking readings since day 1 but I forgot to buy a sampling kit last week
