Ive used argos play sand with discus/fighters/cories/plecos/guppies without problems, would have been a few months old when i got discus but did a tank transfer so im guessing sand underneath might not have got much water to it and i've had nothing like that, just my exp glad your betta's better

Well 24 hours on from removing the sand and my Betta is back to normal

I am not saying that the sand was 100% the issue but everying else has been re used apart from the sand so I am quite sure.

Just hoping his fins get back to normal after a week or so (fingers crossed)

Good luck! Hopefully it's sorted out and his fins come back... It amazes me how fast they regrow!
