am i doing anything wrong? could sum1 help pls?

What test kit are you using to obtain your ammonia, nitrite etc. stats? Its possible if you are using strips that you could be getting misleading values.

ps. Welcome to TFF!

i am using a interpet liquid master test kit and have taken a few water samples to my local aquatics to double check that my results where right.

Well, on the face of it, that certainly sounds like it should be better than strips, but on the other hand I can remember a few bad cases we had in which Interpet kits seemed to play a role, sorry not to be more specific. The concern might be that some of your symptoms seem as if they could be associated with ammonia and/or nitrite, despite your seeming to have tested carefully and backed it up with sample checks at the LFS. So, unfortunately, to my eye this aspect would still be suspect.

But maybe someone else will see something different. The mention of salt may get you a rather large discussion, lol.

has any 1 else got any ideas?????????? ive jus fed my fish and found another dead molly fry (the largest in the net) the only other info i can think of is that i completed the myxazin treatment sunday and done a larger water change on monday of 40ltrs (used cold water and added kettle water to bring the temp right then added aquasafe etc) :shout: heeeeeeelllllllpppppppppppp!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds parasitic to me... Do you have access to a microscope? A lot of trade livebearers seem to be carrying Flukes ATM  Flukes can only be diagnosed via a skin scrape test (not as bad as it sounds), but it is commonly miss-diagnosed by well meaning people

I would diss-continue the use of salt. You have some salt intollerant species in there to whom it will do more harm than good ;)

All the best
