Does anyone have any information about the undulated trigger? I was wondering if I could put one in a 125 gallon tank with a humu humu trigger, and a niger trigger.

The undulate triggerfish is extremely aggressive fish (not only one of the most aggressive triggers, but one of the most aggressive marine fish you'll find at your lfs! :X ) and unfortunately can only be housed on it's own most of the time. However your tank size is considerable and with only a few other large fish, it might be ok. However the undulates can still be unpredictable and don't get along well with other triggers so unfortunatly it's either the undulate on own or those other triggers. :/

I own a niger trigger myself, and would like to recommend getting that and/or the picasso instead of the undy - less aggression and more tankmate variety to choose from. :good:

Here's some info on it - Undulate Triggerfish

Years ago I kept an undulated trigger in a 200 gallon tank, and he basically attacked everything. I certainly wouldn't mix one with multiple triggerfish in a tank below 200 gallons. To be honest, they're better kept on their own. Niger triggers are nice, as have been mentioned, and I also found Rhinecanthus rectangulus and Sufflamen bursa to be pretty good too, given space.

Cheers,

Neale
