Should I use the under gravel filter with my magnum 350, or should I use the drop tube?

what are the advantages.... / disadvantages?

What's a drop tube?

Personally i wouldnt use an undergravel filter, they're old now and there's much better filters available.

-undergravel filters are old school, there only any good for fish such as bettas that require low water flow.

an internal filter or an external is much better as they can ble cleaned out where as the ugf will just hold crap and eventualy need removing and a good cleaning, wich may also start a mini cycle

Hello

I was calling the suction tube leading to my canister filter a "drop tube"
The suction tube is about 7 or 8 inches from the gravel, in a 2 foot deep tank.
I just wondered if I should extend this more?

I also have a Penguin power head that I was considering to move more water around, But there is a current in the tank already.
I don't think I want anymore current, Or the little guys won't be able to relax.

Thanks
Adam
