Need ideas what to use underneath a 200 gallon tank between the glass and the cabinet base both to insulate, help level and avoid point damage and stress in the bottom of the tank, I was going to use polystyrene but I cannot find any the right thickness (no more than 12mm) or could I maybe use cork floor tiles?

The size it will need to be is 78"x24" minimum.

The tank has a 25mm thick bottom and there is a 25mm deep recess in top of the cabinet - cant show any pictures it isn't built yet but these are the finalised sizes with the builder.

Whats wrong with the 12mm polystyrene? The polystyrene under a tank is only there to cushion the base against vibrations and even out any minor imperfections in the level of the base and 12mm is more than suitable for that.

12mm Polystyrene is my choice, nothing wrong with it at all if I could only find a supplier of it.

Are you UK or US? In the UK you can find it at any builders merchants and most DIY stores (Wicks B&Q etc)
