Unbelievable!

I cannot believe what i have just seen. I was on gumtree having a look at second hand tanks and came across an advert for someone selling a 15l nano tank for £35, in Penicuik, the town where i live. this 15l tank apparently contains the following fish (that come 'free with the tank') = x4 Siamese Fighters (1male, 2 female), 1 Pleco and 1 'algae sucker.' i don't currently have a spare tank (lent it to a friend for quarantine and my tank currently has 8 tiger barbs. i don't know what to do! that tank would be ok for 1 fighter and thats it. i think i will contact the seller and advise them to take the fish to the lfs. is there anyone else near penicuik that could take these poor fish??? HELP!!

I just had a look at the advert, i cant see the algae sucker or the "pleck", but at least there is a decent ratio of male and female fighters, however their tank, their fish.

If thats what people want to do, we can only try to educate. I wouldnt however go to the lengths of contacting an unknown seller of something i dont want to buy, to tell them how to look after animals they are obviously trying to get rid of.

that was a typing mistake. there are 4 bettas as you would have seen if you looked at the advert. i could not see the plec or the algae eater either though the photos were pretty rubbish. ok so the ratio of male to female fighters is good but not in a 15l tank. i did not contact the seller, i only said that as i was shocked by the amount of fish in the tank. yes its 'their tank, their fish' but it is still disgraceful. i would have bought them but have nowhere to put them and they cannot stay in that tank. i just hope they 'get rid of them' to someone who knows what they are doing. you are of course entitled to your opinion but there is no need to have a go at me for a typo and for being concerned. i was merely trying to find out if someone else in the area would be able to purchase them.
