well, the emphasis is still on the first word, it's hard for us westerners to get used to saying it with a "b" instead of "p". instead of "play" say "plah" (like "plaid" as in tartan plaid). the "p" is kind of soft, pronounced more like "b" if you get my drift..."kut" is pretty close to "ghaat" though, you're almost there.jacblades said:eek im still confused. i have always said play-kut with the emphasis on the play. is this wrong? me no understandbkk_group said:blah is not long like blahhh blahh blahh, just "blah or "blaa".![]()

) I sat here for about 15 minutes discussing it with my mom and trying to learn how to pronounce it. I've never really known... but now I do. I think.
