That would be good to know, I took out all the carbon media, but never knew that u/v broke down the meds too.
That sounds catch 22'ish, if the u/v is to zap the ICH spores, but you can't run it without decreasing the function of the meds.
Just an update so far, the tank temp was gradually increased from 80 to 86 F. I've used the meds now 2 days, and the spots are almost cleared up off the two loaches infected, and does not appear to have spread to any other of the fish, so for now I'll stay that course, daily meds, U/V on, and temp at 86. Saturday is the 1/4 water change day, so I've got my fingures crossed this will continue to impove and rid the darn ICH.
