I have just bought a in fish tank with a external filter called ULTRA JET UJ-3337, i am having trouble setting it up please can anybody help!!!!!!!

The people that we have bought it off have cut the plug to the external filter and put on other power supplies but we are not to sure which pipe goes where, we have a pipe from in, and a pipe from out, should these two pipes have things on the other ends

Normally the 'in' side has a long stright pipe that goes down to near the bottom of the tank and has a 'strainer' of some kind on the end to stop any small fish getting sucked in. The 'out' side usually has a 'spray bar', a long stright pipe with holes in for the water to come out of.
