Hmm... I'm no betta expert, relatively recent arrival to Can't Stop Buying Bettas World (only got 5). So what is it about her that you think is ugly exactly? I know a fair bit about genetics generally.

andy she is perfect, well i would say that as you got her from me a while ago , take a look at her colours, the blue going through the anal and caudal is very nicely placed and the dorsal is nice too, he extn's on her anal look good enough to spawn from as they are almost level and the line from her nose to dorsal is a very good line, nice and smooth with no lumps and her top lip doesnt do the ski-slope thing which is a flaw in showing bettas, big eyes in bettas atm are desirable so i would just go ahead and spawn her, she was a gentle little thing but i dont know whats she is like now? stop fussing over perfection when its starting you in the face as she holds the same colours as diesel

I think it was the big eyes, and the fact that a couple of the other girlies keep ripping her fins that made us think that.
I agree she is exactly the right colour to put with Diesel, and her fin lines are good, well, when she had fins!

So, I think we'll give it a whirl

She can be quite fiesty herself now, which is just as well cus Diesel is a typical PK........"ard as nails"

i think shreketta is lovely, and you should go ahead and spawn them, will be interesting to see there offspring

Yeah, spawn them. I think the shreklets would be fine. Are you going to do it with diesel?
