Ugliest Fish You Ever Loved!

i know the majority of us own fish because they're intriguing, beautiful creatures. but sometimes things don't turn out as we plan...

i personally adore plecos for their unique appearance, but my bristlenose is hideous! he has a mottled dark brown and burnt-orange body covered in little pale spots, and of course a face full of bristles. just an absolutely fugly little fish, but i love him anyways. he's got a great personality, you know


so what's the ugliest fish you've ever kept? please, only fish you have personally owned; i wanna hear about those faces only a mother could love!

Got to be the common pleco, people come to your house, put their faces to the glass, and say ..............man that fish is ugly so i say well, my fish thinks youre ugly too

Common plecs are probably one of my favorite fish. I don't own one now, but just waiting for the one in my mom's tank to get too big until she says, "Ew that thing is huge!" Then he is in my 120 gallon.

the best part of that description is that a pleco hanging on the glass very strongly resembles how a person looks when they place their open mouth on a window and blow their cheeks out really big...

i just remembered how much my betta's face looked like a bull dog's; such a pugnacious looking little fish he was!

my Spotted raphael. He only comes out once a month but hes awesome anyways. Working on getting him a group. WHen hes full grown i guarantee people will ask " whats that ugly fish in the back called?"

1 of the customers at work looked into the display tank a while back and said thats ugly, unfortuanate for her it was 1 of my bosses favorite fish so he said "i believe thats your reflection madam"

can't remember what it was at now though.

i think my dragon bogy is also the ugliest yet most lovable dude i have. and Dwarfs, birchirs aren't ugly at all!!

ugliest fish i own has to be the banjo cat... my mum says my bristlenose plec is ugly, and at nearly 6" hes a beast but i love him lol.
