ugliest fish tank

So, why did you post pics of the 'ugliest tank in the world' if you didn't think so? Were we supposed to say that it's grand and looks fabulous?!!

Your parameters may be good but it doesn't stop the fishs' environment looking like ten kinds of crap. That gravel needs a good clean and it looks like the water has evaporated it's so in need of a water change!! People on here take pride in their tanks and providing a nice home for fish. Dyeing fish was mentioned by me because of a comment made recently in another thread.

What else is in with the breeding convicts and firmouth?! Maybe the state of your tank has to do with henious overstocking? Just a suggestion.

nope just the convicts... mr firemouth disappeared

here are 2 pics of the re done trailer trash tank

Looks better already....

You say your firemouths dissapeared? If your convicts are breeding i would have thought they killed the firemouths?

Ben

there was 1.. and i figured they got him.. he was fine for the longest time.. thats why i left him in there.. i guess they got sick of him or something..

i think i got all the algea off of everything

I think it would have been better to post a "Before and After pictures" thread, instead of showing the 'after' part after ppl have been grossed out!!!! It looks fine now, just making people get mad at you then apologizing is not a great thing.

Looks much better now, its just that us people here take alot of pride in our work and its very hard work, then to see a tank which has nearly %15 of the water evaporating and no obvious water change it can rub people up the wrong way sometimes

Nutter :)

EDIT: typos

i did do water changes, but its so damn hot here, that about 10% of the water would evaporate every 2-3 days.. and working 8 hour days and having other things going on it doest get difficult.. but i managed to get it done.

the convicts seem to like it a lot more.. their tank before was just hiding places everywhere ... now they swim around the plants, and are happier id say

Unless you were to come over on a Sunday afternoon, you'd never see a completely topped off tank in my house. The water evaporates so quickly. I don't see how low water level has anything to do with whether or not you do water changes -_-

im sure they just meant adding water... they most likely only have 1 or 2 tanks so when they see one of them low in water it takes 2 minutes to top it up..

i have like 6 tanks and like 20 betta containers so sometimes im too busy to get around to doing everything.. the water evaporated like 2 inches.. i dont think thats a big deal really but anyways yea its better now 3 cheers for them..

i notice the tank in my room is down about 3 inches also..

considering itll take a few trips up and down the stairs with water jugs i think i will leave that till tomorrow when i have some energy..

worked 7 hours today.. not sitting down for 7 straights hours makes the legs tired :S

u did a preety good job nibbles  well done

as for the second pic, i think it would look better if the picture quality is better
