so i have had my fish for close to a year now. and i have a lot of different fish in the same tank. the people at my local petco told me that i could have 10 fish for a 10 gallon tank.( but i think they would get over crowded) so i have 3 tetras that im not sure what kind they are. and i have 2 african Cichlids and 2platys and a lepoard pleco. am i over crowding my fish? they seem to be getting along alrigt. but i also think that one of my platy's is pregnant. what should i do?

I would definatly take back the chiclids to the pet store. They can be aggressive and also may eat your smaller fish. If you could post pictures of your tetras or tell us the colors or patterns that are on them we may be able to help you more.
Also try returning your leopard pleco as he can reach around 19inches.

Pet store employees are often out just to get people to spend money in their store.

Are all 3 tetras you have the same design, color, breed?? If so I would get at least 2 more of them, and You should have 1 male platy to every 2 female platies.

they are all the same color and species

THANKS!!!!!! ive been looking around forever trying to find out what they were and after a while of no luck i thought i would never know lol :D but acually my two cichlids only seems to bother each other no one else they are the smallest things in the tank. awww im so excited now now i know what they are!!!!! :D

Photo is a bit dark but if the fish is see through it could be an x-ray tetra, the markings on the dorsal and tail fin are exactly the same as ours, good luck : )

X-ray Tetras have black tips on the tops of their fin and on the very bottom fin. Also the back fin is possibly red. The picture above is a pink/whitish looking fish. With no black marks on the fins.

you definetely need to rehome your plec, it will outgrow your tank in a matter of months

You are right fishkies could not make out the photo well and only scanned it quickly our xrays have red tails fins my bad and I did say it 'could be' as i was not sure :)
