Hey, Somebody is sending me the U1 filter for my betta tank, does anyone use this in a betta tank? Is it an alright filter? :)
Thanks.

Not had experience but heard the Fluvals U1 are meant to be really good, unsure how they do in the tank, you may just have to adapt the flow especially with any baby or small fish about.

I've just bought the fluval U2 for my new 2ft the have a flow adjuter at the top and have a good turnover, quite bulky though, mine will be hidden behind a wall of vallis

Hmmm, Would the stingray be better? i really would prefer this one but you say its bulky and i know they do appear quite cube like? :/

they can be hidden with strategic planting.

I have both a stingray and fluval and i'd say the fluval is overall more capable of coping with waste, but stingrays are still good for smaller tanks.

Right its sorted, i have a fluval U1 coming next week :) Urm, seen as i didnt have a filter in with shimmer for the last month i had him can i use a bit of media out of my goldfish filter?

yup...use old media from the goldfish tank. dont take any more than 1/3 of the media and replace what youve taken out.
good luck!
