i've heard that mollies like to eat some vegetable type foods. what kinds of vegetable based foods are good for mollies? right now i'm feeding them flake food as well as blood worms once in a while.

they sometimes like cucumber. i warm for a while like min or less in the microwave. i cut the skin off but u dont have to.

Spirulina algae based foods are good for Mollies.

I feed mine Tetra Pro Vegetable flakes. It contains concentrated spirulina D

Yeah, sprinula is the best enriched food for Mollies. Any flake food that has added sprinula is excellent for them. Also, the occasional marine-designed flake/frozen food will do no harm.

Peas are great and help with constipation. Microwave them. Remove the skin. Smoosh them a bit. Feed the fish and watch them poo.

Boil some water and put the lettuce in and immeadiatly pull it out and feed it to your fish.

The term blanching is actually a cooking term that refers to moving food from hot pan/pot and tossing it into ice cold water immediately. What this does is preserves flavor in the food and some of the texture. When feeding fish, it's not really time critical. Boil the vegetables enough to get it soft and your fish will be happy. Just don't make it a soggy mess that will break apart when it comes back into contact with the tank water. Fish aren't as picky as the Iron Chef. :)

Mine get a selection of flake, frozen bloodworm or brine shrimp, and recently someone on here advised me to feed crushed peas.
I thaw out frozen peas, remove the shells and then just squeeze them as I put them in and they love them!!!!!
