I have two male guppies that are not swimming right. instead of swimming horizontal like all fish. they are now swimming at  10 and4 ( look at a clock and u will see what i mean) one of the males now just sit permanently on the floor of the tank, moves now and then eats off the floor.

Whats going on?

What are the ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, temperature, ph, tank size, tank mates?

love that question, only guppies and mollies and all the level are with in the ranges for them.

Cos as specified by you, you are a noobie and we will not be able to help you if we don't know the exact numbers. Do you have a test kit? I get not having one of those but forgetting how big your tank is? Unheard of :p .

its a 3ft tank and the test kit says

no3: 25mg/l
no2: 2mg/l
gh: this is abit high14d
kh: 6d
ph: 7.2
cl2: 0

No2 is nitrite and it should be reading at 0. What are your ammonia readings?

Do a couple of water changes and watch for any improvement. I've read somewhere that some fish lean towards light? Not sure if guppies do this though.

their heads are at 10 and thier tails at 4, i have just recently cleaned my external filter

Its a 3ft by 1ft x 1ft tank and cleaned it using water from the tank like u do

So it's around 81 litres/21 US gallons?

Hmmm, I'm not sure what to suggest sorry. :/

Hopefully someone will come along and be able to help :)
