Twitching Discus

Is it the same one, or different ones at different times? Mine occasionally have a bit of an inexplicable 'mad moment' - not unlike their owner...

Keep an eye out for the usual white spots, irritated patches, etc. If you're having teething trouble with a new tank (re: your other post) keep an eye on levels to make sure it's not water quality that's irritating them. How are they feeding?

It is probably nothing to worry about. If your discus are adults it might be a good thing....When the fish is twitching is it staring at a vertical structure? If it is it might be wanting to spawn. If it is not that then it is probably just gill flukes. As long as you keep your water conditions correct they are not a problem.

There are no white spots. The thing about my tank is I have a mild current in the tank. (Fluval 404 and a Rio 400) in the tank... Are currents harnful to discus?

Hey, this is not about the twitching but was mentioned earlier. Are discus bothered by currents? I am Running a Fluval 404 and a Rio 400 corner filter w/ power head. Thats enough filtration for 120 gallons but My tank is only 75. As you can imagine there is quite a bit of current running. IS this harmful to the discus?
